Christmas spirit artificially created at some point in early September 2003. Part of the double B side planned with Javine's "You Used To" for post Christmas release.

The young children's choir i asked for had to be replaced by a choir of kids of contractable age unfortunately. My thoughts of conjuring up the the innocence of a child's Christmas was rather tainted by seeing one of them smoking in the studio foyer. There was a hand bell used on this recording and Richard Hawley kindly played the guitar bits. XFM seemed to like this but people got their sleighbell fix from The Darkness that year. Happy Christmas.

It doesnt seem a moment since I started work on my recently released album "Richard X presents his X Factor Volume One". It's been a great year making lots of new celebrity friends and getting them to make records with me and help make me famous. Now that the albums dropping down the charts, here's my new single taken from it, hopefully giving it another chance to scrape the Top 30. Its called "You Used To" and features vocals from a famous girl singer but you'll have to read the credits on the album to find out her name for contractual reasons. You may like the more processed "Extended Pleasures Of.." version like i do.
Other formats may have my Christmas version of the song I made with Jarvis - that one's called "Into U". For your information the inclusion of generic festive sounds and additional programming was performed on September 24th ,around the time I noticed the first sign in a local pub telling you to book your Christmas Roast now or be disappointed. There is a parallel here I am sure.
Further still, one of the CD's will feature a bonus track simply entitled The Great Soprendo. there is nothing more to add.
